Title:
Dataset DrivAer hp-F: Wake Total Pressure Measurements in Yaw Conditions.

Description:
This dataset contains total pressure measurements in the wake of the DrivAer hp-F rear wing configuration with an angle of attack of 15 deg.
The experiments were conducted in the 8x6 closed-return wind tunnel at Cranfield University.
The dataset provides wake measurements at three downstream positions for various yaw angles at a controlled freestream velocity.

Experimental Setup:
- Wind Tunnel: Cranfield University 8x6 closed-return tunnel.
- Test Section: 2.44 m × 1.79 m (modified with elevated floor and boundary layer suction).
- Yaw Angles: -20 deg to 0 deg in 5 deg increments.
- Freestream Velocity: 40 m/s.
- Blockage Ratio: ~6.3% at 0 deg yaw.

Measurement Details:
- Instrumentation:
  - 39 vertically stacked single-hole probe rake with automated traverse.
  - Pressure tap installed on the wind tunnel wall at mid-height, aligned with the corresponding wake plane position.
  - Two 20-channel differential pressure transducers referenced to atmospheric pressure.
- Pressure Reference:
  - Atmospheric reference pressure for uncalibrated measurements.
  - Local static pressure in the wind tunnel for calibrated measurements.
  - Dynamic pressure measurement at the test section inlet.
- Wake Measurement Planes:
  - P1: 400 mm downstream.
  - P2: 700 mm downstream.
  - P3: 1000 mm downstream.
- Measurement Grid:
  - Vertical Spacing: 4.77 mm.
  - Horizontal Spacing: 25 mm.
  - Total Measurement Width: 1200 mm.
- Sampling Rate: 1 kHz for 10 s per position.

Data Processing:
- All measurement results are time-averaged over the acquisition window.
- Total pressure measurements are divided by dynamic pressure measurements to compute total pressure coefficients relative to the atmospheric pressure (CpT).
- Total pressure measurements are calibrated using static pressure measurements at the wind tunnel wall and divided by dynamic pressure measurements to compute total pressure coefficients relative to the local static pressure in the wind tunnel (CpTc).

Data Structure:
- The data are structured to cover an entire wake plane, consisting of four vertically stacked horizontal sweeps.
- Data from overlapping probes between vertical stacks are averaged to ensure continuity.
- Vertical and horizontal coordinates are provided that reflect the (average) position of each data point.

Data Files:
The dataset is organised into three main folders to differentiate pressure references and quantities, each containing subfolders for individual wake planes (P1, P2, P3).
1. atmospheric_reference/
   - Contains data for total pressure coefficients (CpT) and static pressure at the wall surface tap (Pstat), relative to atmospheric reference pressure.
   - Includes vertical and horizontal coordinates for each data point.
   - P3 contains additional data from repeated horizontal sweeps to assess repeatability.
2. dynamic_pressure/
   - Contains dynamic pressure (Pdyn) measurements for each wake plane.
   - Includes vertical and horizontal coordinates for each data point.
3. tunnel_reference/
   - Contains total pressure coefficients (CpTc) referenced to the local static pressure in the wind tunnel.
   - Includes vertical and horizontal coordinates for each data point.
